Many of us are spending the majority of our time at home during this pandemic. We may be running out of things to do. With all of this time on our hands, why not spiff it up a little and try and make your home clutter-free!
Try these easy tips for a clutter-free home!
Determine what you want your desired result to look like. Look at Pinterest or Google for some ideas you would like your home to look like!
Write a checklist of what you would like to declutter. This list can get very long but no reason to fret! You are trying to make a change in your life and you are doing something about it.
More light! Sometimes dark spaces and areas can make a room look more cluttered. Open those windows, pull back the curtains or add a lamp!
Make 2 piles. It is important to create a donate pile and a keep pile. Be sure to put your donate pile in your car so that you remember to stop by The Salvation Army.
One section at a time. To make your home clutter-free it may be a lengthy process so make sure to commit to small projects first.
Knick-knacks! Get rid of those small knick-knacks! Sometimes random small items can ruin the look of the room. If you feel you must keep some, make a rotating system so that you don't have to get rid of your favorites.
Avoid stacks and piles. Just because you nicely stack the books does not mean that you decluttered. Remove as much as you can and try to keep items to a minimum.
