Sports Injuries: If you're a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete, there is always the risk of injury. From spraining an ankle during a cutting maneuver in soccer to the repetitive stress of a tennis forehand, injuries are commonplace in all of sports. California Therapy Solutions can help you prevent or recuperate from an injury. Our physical therapists have first-hand knowledge on injuries because they themselves have suffered and successfully recovered from sports injuries. They are also up to date on the current cutting edge research from sports medical journals to assist you to the quickest and most successful recovery. Play hard, play safely, and recover quickly!
Post-Surgical Care: When conservative treatment fails or if an injury is severe, surgery can be indicated. Our staff will work closely with your orthopedic surgeon so that we can assist you to a safe recovery. We will communicate with your referring surgeon so that post operative protocols are outlined and followed by your treating physical therapist. Our goal is to help you gain positive outcomes in a short time frame. We've helped thousands of patients through their rehab and understand what it takes to assist you through these physically trying times.
Joint Replacement: Arthritis can cause irreversible changes to the integrity of hip, knee and shoulder joints. This is when a joint replacement surgery can be indicated. At California Therapy Solutions, we have the knowledge and the experience to guide you back to functional independence. We have maintained great success in helping our patients get back their range of motion and strength so that they can resume their activities of daily living. We understand that the recovery can be challenging. We will work patiently with you to guide you through the hurdles of acclimating to your new artificial joint.
Back/Neck Care: Life can be stressful and uncomfortable especially when struggling with neck or back pain. The spinal pain can make it difficult to find a position of comfort and restrict your freedom of movement. Our clinical experts have extensive training in spine manual therapy to relieve muscle tension/tightness, release stiff/painful spinal joints, and restore normal pain-free motion. They will also educate you on proper posture/body mechanics, computer ergonomics, and prescribe strengthening and stretching exercises to maintain range of motion and stability to the spine. We will also utilize the pilates repertoire and pilates apparatuses to strengthen your core musculature so that we can provide better stability to your spine and allow pain free movements.
Arthritis Care: As we age and grow older, it is inevitable that our joints will deteriorate over time and eventually wear down. Just like the tread-wear on tires, the cartilage on bone endings will wear down with more use eventually leading to osteoarthritis. We are not powerless in the fight against arthritis. There are lifestyle changes which include proper diet, exercise, and modifications in physical activity that can delay the onset and progression of osteoarthritis. Supplementation can also assist in the prevention and management of osteoarthritis. California Therapy Solution's well educated staff can help you alleviate stress on your joints and increase joint stability to protect yourself from this degenerative joint disease.
Fall Prevention: Heart attacks and Cancer are no longer the leading reasons for death in the aging population. Most deaths result from the complications of injuries sustained from a fall. As we age and grow older, our balance will become compromised which can make us more vulnerable to fall related injuries. Our fall prevention program includes a comprehensive evaluation assessing your balance, strength, coordination, and reaction times. This will help you improve your balance so that you can resume your daily activities with confidence and without limitations.

Pilates: Pilates is a physical fitness system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. The Pilates method seeks to develop controlled bodily movement from a strong core and it does this using a range of apparatuses to guide and train the body. Joseph Pilates originally developed his method as mat exercises, but in common with many other physical culture systems from the first part of the twentieth century, he used several pieces of apparatus to help people "get the method in their bodies." Each piece of apparatus has its own repertoire of exercises and most of the exercises done on the various pieces of Pilates apparatus are resistance training since they make use springs to provide additional resistance. Using springs results in "progressive resistance", meaning the resistance increases as the spring is stretched. The most widely used piece of apparatus is the Reformer, but other apparatus used in a traditional Pilates studio include the Cadillac, the Wunda Chair, the Ladder Barrel, and the Spine Corrector.
Neurological Rehabilitation: Strokes, Parkinsons disease, and neuropathy, to name a few, can be addressed with physical therapy. Our clinicians have strong neurological backgrounds to assist you through the rehab process. We understand the emotional, mental, and physical challenges that can encountered during this time of uncertainty. California Therapy Solution will utilize our resources to get you back to your prior level of function.
Repetitive Stress Injuries: Technological advances in our workplace have increased the amount of stress that our bodies absorb. Whether it's keyboarding, using a mouse, or operating machinery, these motions can cause repeated stress to our muscles, joints and tendons eventually leading to pain and injury. Prevention is the key! Understanding how the bodies function and placing it in optimal positions can prevent most repetitive stress injuries. But if the damage has already taken its toll, there still are palliative methods for recovery. Utilizing treatments like laser, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation can get rid of the inflammation and alleviate pain. Physical therapists can restore range of motion and strength to better tolerate the activities that initially caused the injury.
Chronic Pain: If you're suffering from a chronic condition like fibromyalgia, polymyalgia, or any persisting musculoskeletal injury, don't lose hope. We at California Therapy Solutions believe that there are answers to challenging conditions that question the hope for recovery. A comprehensive approach that encompasses proper diet, exercise, rest, activity modification, and supplementation can be the key to unlock the pain and agony that you've endured for so long. We have worked with pain management doctors and have had good success in providing a natural means to help manage your condition. Don't live in pain…we can help you!
